ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Lara Flynn Boyle, Stephen Baldwin, Josh Charles

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

When a clerical error means the female Alex (Flynn Boyle) has to share a room at college with two men, college jock Baldwin and the gay Charles, it leads to the three of them starting a life changing menage a trois.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

Despite the fact that Threesome features a Baldwin brother it still has stacks to recommend it, made in 1994 its an intelligent teen/early adult drama, so strong and intricate is the relationship between the three main characters that to outsiders it looks a little disturbed, at times it is provocative with the three main protagonists swinging every which way more than once but it does have genuine heart.

The performances of the three main players are really what help elevate what could have been a seedy tale (with its nude skinny dips and talk of bodily fluids) into a pretty watchable drama.

Threesome tries hard to be a Jules Et Jim for the 90's and it also has a groovy soundtrack (featuring the likes of Tears For Fears and Duran Duran).

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Commentary from director Andrew Fleming, cast filmographies, and a  couple of trailers.
