ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Ever Carradine, Gina Phillips, Bianca Lawson, Jeremy Sisto and David Carradine (in a small role)

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

A group of twenty-somethings are driving across country to attend a wedding when they get lost.  They end up in the small town of Lovelock and decide to spend the night at a Bed and Breakfast.  The owner is a Mr Wise (David Carradine) who is into spiritual stuff - he has sealed box that is his lucky charm but which should not be opened.  But it's not so lucky for him because soon afterwards he is found dead and the friends become the sheriff's chief suspects.

Needless to say the sealed box gets opened and releases an evil spirit which soon possesses most of the townsfolk turning them into murdering zombie like creatures who can only be stopped by blowing their brains out or decapitation.  Some of the friends are similarly possessed but the remaining survivors hole-up in the B&B trying to fight off the relentless swarms of zombies with a cobbled together set of weapons and no way to escape.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

It's obviously a variation on a long-treaded theme of both zombie and teens-in-peril type movies.  But this one has a story plot that gives it a bit of an edge.  It has some deliberate amusing moments but these seem somewhat out of place for a film that is otherwise a fest of gore and blood and killings that don't provide many laughs other than by their sometimes OTT or outlandish manner of despatch.

It's not for the squeamish but if that doesn't bother you then this is a perfectly watchable movie
