THE FLINTSTONES - SEASON FOUR
Distributor: Warner Home Video
Certificate: Not Rated
Available to buy

Extras: Yes

ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Fred and Wilma, Barney and Betty

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

With Fred and Wilma having had the pitter patter of tiny feet with the arrival of Pebbles it was only fair that Barney and Betty Rubble should get in on the action too,

this fourth season sees Barney and Betty adopting Bam-Bam, this season also scored high with its opening tribute to Ann-Margret episode Ann-Margrock Presents (Margret was a good enough sport to provide her own voice. This season also cotains possibly the best Flinstones episode ever in the shape of "Ladies Night at The Lodge" where Betty and Wilma sneak into the boys lodge meeting. Theres also a heavy emphasis this season on parodying other shows such as Candid Camera.

It's hard to believe that the Flintstone is over 40 years old (this fourth season aired in 1963-64) but it has still retained that

freshness and stands up to repeated viewings.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?
Audio Commentary in which Historians and Animation Writers discuss Flintstones history in commentaries on Ann Margrock Presents episode and Little Bamm-Bamm episode;
Documentary:The Legendary Music of Hoyt Curtin profiles the man behind the theme song. Theres also a featurette on how The Flintstones was the first animated show to appear in a prime time slot.
