ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

David Carradine

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

This third season, containing 24 episodes across 4 discs, wraps it up for Kung Fu surely one of TV's most interesting spins on the western theme, starring the always excellent David Carradine as orphan Kwai Chang Caine, born in China to Chinese and American parentage  and raised by the monks of the legendary Shaolin Temple, growing up Kwai

Chang learns the philosophy of internal harmony and the oneness of all things as well as becoming a master in the art of Kung Fu… Caine’s troubles start when he accidentally kills a member of the Chinese Royal Family, forced to flee to America Caine embarks on a quest to find his long brother Danny.

This third and final season builds up to one thing the final four episode arc that sees Caine finally tracking down his brother and determining to kill him. It's brilliantly done and one good thing about the series as a whole is Caine's purpose, while it is episodic in nature there is the over riding feel of a proper quest going on.

There are also some great guest stars popping up in this third season, one of the

things I love about all these old shows coming out is seeing all the brilliant supporting players who crop up in their prime in many a show, this set includes the likes of William Shatner, Patricia Neal, blind singer Jose Feliciano, Rhonda Fleming, Leslie Neilson and Barnara Seagull (aka Hershey). This remains a quality show well worth checking out.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Main extra is the feature  “David Carradine’s Shaolin Diary: Back to Beginning” a new documentary shot in China which follows David Carradine as he returns to the Shaolin Temple Monastery.
