WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

This 3 disc (double sided) set contains all 21 episodes from the pivotal second season of the Law and Order spin off. SVU's first season was an easy enough success, the Law and Order audience happy to go with a new spin, season two would have to stand on its

own merits and this it does more than capably. The show of course, focuses on the day to day life inside the New York Police Departments elite Special Victims Unit with detectives Elliot Staber (Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Hargitay) leading the team as they tackle all manner of seedy sex crimes and the like.

This second season opens out the cast a little too with the addition of ex rapper Ice-T as Detective Odafin Tutuola, also coming on board was semi regular B.D. Wong as forensic psychiatrist George Huang.

SVU has just entered its seventh season on the NBC where it regularly sits near the top of the ratings and watching this second season its easy to see why.

The episodes are generally pretty strong and touch on a diverse range of subjects from a teenage boy accused of murdering his father to an Arab woman being stoned in a park and the quality of acting is high too, this season features guest appearances from the likes of Eric Roberts, Margot Kidder, Richard Thomas, Karen Allen and Chad Lowe.

If you are a fan of Dick Wolf's Law and Order franchises then this one will definitely float your boat.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Profiles of detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler, Cast interviews reacting to the types of cases they are involved in, Cast interactions with real SVU detectives, Behind the Scenes on the Law & Order: SVU set and plenty of deleted scenes.
