rainy Sunday afternoon, the role
of Anne Shirley has always had a
peculiar effect on the lives of
those who have played her, the
first Hollywood version saw the
leading lady actually change her
name to Anne Shirley and Megan
Follows became so identified
with her role as Anne that she
found it difficult to find other
work. It's
more than just the engaging
story though the production
design and wonderful playing
adds up to quality viewing and
hold up incredibly well despite
being over 20 years old now.
