WHAT’S
IT ABOUT THEN?
Season
four of Dallas would have had to
have been one of the most
eagerly awaited pieces of
television ever, season three
had left us with the cliff
hanger of all time - the
shooting of J.R. Ewing and the
first four episodes of season
four all focus on the
|
|
aftermath
of the shooting and discovering just who did the dirty deed, there's a
huge circle of suspects, lets face it JR was never out to make himself
popular, if you can't remember then we certainly won't reveal the would
be assassin here but with JR confined to his hospital bed for the start
of the series it does provide younger brother Bobby the chance to take
over the reins of Ewing oil, JR though is not above trying to get his
own way, despite his injuries. In fact JR and Bobby's fioght for control
of Ewing Oil dominates the rest of the season. Meanwhile
Cliff Barnes (Pamela Ewings brother) is trying to make a name for
himself on the Texas political scene and uses his insider knowledge
about the Ewings to stir up trouble for them. Other big plot
developments this season include Jock and Miss Ellie on the verge of
divorce and Pam searching for her mother.

Always
the most entertaining of the prime time super soaps, Dallas was quite
ahead of its time really with its multiple storyline arcs, this fourth
season has 23 episodes spread across four double sided discs and the
season ends with another thumping cliff hanger with a dead body in the
Southfork Pool.
