Dawn
Anna is a hardworking volleyball
coach at Columbine High, she's a
single mum
but has just met a new man,
suddenly though her world
collapses when she is diagnosed
with a brain tumour. After a
huge bout of surgery Dawn Anna
has to learn to start over again
but her family rally round to
help pull her through. Just when
it looks like things are about
to make a turn for the better, a
pair of teenagers go on a gun
rampage at Columbine High School
killing her teenage daughter
Lauren.
Dawn
Anna is definitely a three
hankie movie, a real tearjerker
that leaves you in shock. Debra
Winger has suffered on screen
before of course, most notably
in Terms of Endearment and she
does a brilliant job here, she
hasn't made a movie for a while
so it was great to see her back
here. Being a TV movie
(originally made for the
Lifetime Channel) Dawn Anna
probably won't get the
recognition it deserves which is
a shame because it is an
emotionally charged movie with
images that will stay with you
for a long time after its
watching.
