THE
VERDICT
Based
on the characters created for
Luc Besson’s film of the same
name, La Femme Nikita was rated
as the number-one drama for
adults on
USA
network during its five year
run. From acclaimed
producers/writers Joel Surnow
and Robert Cochran (currently
working on TV’s hit action
drama 24), the sleek, chic and
powerful adventures of the agent
codenamed Josephine conclude in
this fifth and final season of
the intrigued-filled series.
Surnow
and Cochran are still currently
riding high as the brains behind
24 but La Femme Nikita is head
and shoulders above that show,
it's pacy, exciting and Peta
Wilson is just brilliant in the
lead.
What
is excellent about this
particular season is that it
plays out like a mini-series and
you do get to find out who the
mole is and why Nikita is doing
what she is doing so unusually
for an American action series
there is a degree of
closure.
