few years later though she was back in a heart string tugging TV movie called Lassie The New Beginning.
As the movie opens Lassie is living with the Stratton kids Samantha and Kids and their grandmother
Ada. In true Lassie style the children find themselves in trouble and it's upto Lassie to save them; When Grandma Ada dies the kids find themselves living with their none too nice Uncle Stuart and Lassie is sent to the pound, she escapes of course and also manages to rescue the kids and the trio hit the road before trouble starts again when Chip is bitten by a rattlesnake...
Lassie is always first rate family entertainment and the New Beginning is no exception, its got that real comforting 70's US TV vibe going and while its not the most well known Lassie picture in the canon it is well worth seeking out.
