WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

"I want that one"
Little Britain has had a huge, huge impact on its home audience, lapped up by not just the viewers but the media too, with the boys being compared to everyone from the Python's to the Goons and every other classic comedy act in between so its sometimes hard to separate the show from the myth, especially with their appearances outside the show with a live stage show and a spot at Live 8.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams play a huge array of characters in their linked sketch series which takes place in a kind of every Britain, the characters are supremely exaggerated versions of people you know are out there but certainly wouldn't want to meet; the jokes come thick and fast and the show is jaw droppingly funny and like fellow BBC classic The League of Gentlemen, it also has the ability to have you squirming in your seat at the outrageousness of most of the characters.

The second season sees the return of many beloved and unforgettable characters from season 1, including Vicky Pollard, Emily Howard, Dafydd Thomas, Sebastian Love, Marjorie Dawes and Lou and Andy. However, this season they are joined by a host of new characters every bit as hilarious including “Bubbles” De Vere, Carol “Computer Says No” Beer, Judy, Maggie and Harvey “Bitty” Pincher, who has an unusually strong attachment to his mother. Little Britain features a well-rounded roster of high-profile British guest stars including Anthony Stewart Head (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Geraldine James, Ruth Madoc and best of all the superb voice of Tom Baker

who has a great line in portentous gobbledegook in each episode. Little Britain has become the BBC's best selling DVD ever (over 2.5 million copies in the UK alone) and it is the kind of show that you either love or you hate. We love it!
