ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Courtney Cox (as Sophie Jacobs), James LeGros, Anne Archer

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

On November 7th Sophie Jacobs' boyfriend is killed by a robber in a convenience store hold-up while she is waiting outside for him in their car.  This loss traumatises her and she visits a psychiatrist for help.

Then strange things start to happen.  She receives photographs that depict the shooting incident and gets strange phone calls.  It's like someone is trying to tell her something...  but who?

It is a fairly good psychological drama that is never quite what you expect.  For the first part of the movie you probably think you can guess the sort of way it is going to play out but then it all turns on its head - and not just once but several times so that you end up not being sure just what is real or imagined.

It is a fairly short film.  The running time is 78 mins but be advised even this short time is boosted by a shockingly long and slow end-credits roll which kicks in 9 minutes from the end.  It came so early that I assumed there would be more story action post-credits - but no.  This is coupled with a longish opening credits roll of 2.5 minutes.  So the actual useful running time for the movie is more like 67 mins.

Overall it's a good film although it's not going to keep you busy for very long.
