in law, finding himself something of a fish out of water Mr Chu becomes increasingly unwilling to embrace the material aspects of
western culture and decides to strike out on his own.
Certainly a bit rawer than one is used to with an Ang Lee but still touching on all the themes that run through his movies, slow
moving, almost like a T'ai Chi exercise, Pushing Hands spends probably a little too long on Mr Chu trying to integrate himself but
picks up when he begins teaching a T'ai Chi class at the local Chinese school, here
