THE
LOWDOWN
Season
four of Scrubs, the best medical
sitcom since M*A*S*H, has just
been released by Buena Vista in
a four disc set. The show Scrubs focuses on the bizarre experiences of fresh-faced medical intern John 'JD' Dorian as he doggedly pursues his career in a surreal hospital crammed full of unpredictable staffers and patients - a place where humour and tragedy can merge at any time.
|
Joining JD on his professional and personal odyssey are his college friend, Chris Turk and JD's fellow medical intern, the beautiful but socially awkward Elliot Reid. When Elliot rekindles her relationship with old flame Sean, JD has to come to terms with his jealousy, eased by the arrival of the mysterious
Danni.
Meanwhile, Turk's relationship with no-nonsense nurse Carla Espinosa continues to go from strength to strength - but with his ability to put his foot in his mouth, and her short temper, their happiness is still only ever an ill-judged word away from oblivion.
Matthew
Perry, Tom Cavanagh and Molly
Shannon are just a few of the
guest stars joining the staff
this year. And the crew of
Sacred Heart makes their biggest
moves yet as Elliot leaves the
hospital for a new job, and J.D.
faces life on his own for the
first time.
THE
VERDICT
One
of the funniest sitcoms
currently on TV,
slick, fast-paced, its a finely
acted ensemble comedy,
with

|
dream
sequences, slow and fast-motion,
asides to camera and smart
visual references to other
sitcoms and a genuinely original
look that have assured its cult
following.
