VERDICT
That Girl was one of the most popular shows of the 1960's, making a star out of Marlo Thomas in the process. The character of Ann Marie was a
pretty pivotal one as it happens, the girl about town format hadn't then really been done in TV before and showed the way for the later equally
popular Mary Tyler Moore show.
The show is great fun to requaint yourself with, even if you were too young to catch the original run its one of
those shows that has been seen in re-runs over the years and has that classic 60's feel that shows such as Bewitched or I Dream of Jeannie also
have.
Another major plus point is the great location footage of sixties New York that was a hallmark of the series.
Definitely worth seeking out.
