Greg, Jeff, Murray, Anthony, Kamahl, Georgie Parker, Melissa Doyle, Smoky Dawson

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

You know for a while there I was getting a little worried about the pre-school fab four, their last series was little more than a re-hash of what had gone before and new songs were thin on the ground, maybe they had had enough I thought, maybe the creative well had run dry I pondered, but I needn't have worried because they are back, back, back!

Racing to the Rainbow is an all new 90 minute almost movie like adventure in which the quartet of pre-school pop maestros set off on a race with their friends Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Dorothy the Dinosaur to find the end of the Rainbow.

Along the way the gang meet Magdalena the decorously dressed mermaid, the legendary King of the road (played by the equally legendary golden voiced Kamahl) and the Queen of the rainbow (played by Georgie Parker), there are also cameo's from Sunrise's Melissa Doyle and the iconic Smoky Dawson.

Best of all though are the 23 brand new songs, standout being "The Colours of the Rainbow" where all four Wiggles get to sing for once (mind you there is a very good reason why Greg is the lead singer!) and all are decked in prime velvet lounge suits, must be their Sgt Pepper phase.

The Wiggles are 15 years old this year (not the band members of course, they're collective age is more like 170) but they are still at the very top of their game and this is another very entertaining release.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Extras include a fun collection of bloopers,a look at the Kings Cadillac (which just happens to be an Elvis original), a Wiggly game, a look at how to kick a Rugby ball and an electronic storybook called The Rainbow Palce.
