Laid back gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh dips his toes into the animated waters of the gentle Gordon the Garden Gnome. A nice show aimed at pre schoolers and designed to give them an early glimpse into the garden. In fact there is a distinct environmental vibe to the whole thing.

Gordon knows almost all there is to know about the plants and flowers that he looks after. He's at one with nature and does all he can to protect the environment. Gordon the Garden Gnome follows the adventures of Gordon and his garden friends.

There's Gordon's best friend, Andrew the Worm; a thoughtful Mole called Morris, a fish of few words named Bob, a design-conscious Squirrel called Daphne, high tech but well meaning Percy gnome, the recent graduate from the gnome academy Rosie gnome, the procrastinating Gerome gnome and the ever-twittering sparrow sisters, Mimi and Fifi.

Each day Gordon wakes up and looks at his magic calendar to see what his day will hold. He and Andrew then head off to do the days gardening and help the environment. Whether it be growing the biggest vegetable for the Chief Gnome and his wife Gladioli or trying to stop the cheeky slugs Lez and Dez from eating everything out of Gordon’s gardens, Gordon and his friends all work together and have a great time.
