IT AIN'T HALF HOT MUM SEASON THREE

Distributor: Roadshow Home Entertainment
Certificate:  PG | region 4 | 175 minutes

Extras: No

cast
Windsor Davies, Melvyn Hayes, Michael Bates, Donald Hewlett,

Meet the Gang cos the boys are here, the boys to entertain you!

Season three sees the show at the top of its form, Jimmy Perry and David Croft of Dad's Army fame having created a great bunch of characters and the ensemble cast all very much enjoying themselves.

The show of course, a 70s sitcom classic, follows the misadventures of a group of soldiers in the Royal Artillery and based in India during world war II. The troupe are given a very hard time by their regimental sergeant major Williams (can anyone shout quite as brilliantly as Windsor Davies)!

Jimmy Perry himself spent some time during the dog days of world war II actually based in India with a Royal Artillery concert party and based many of the characters on people he knew.

Like their legendary Dads Army its issues of class that lie at the heart of the series, the upper class COs are seriously out of touch and its the Indian servants who not only keep things running but also see themselves, quite rightly too, as the real leaders.

Always funny and still very watchable It Ain't Half Hot Mum and its third season is worth adding to your classic comedy collection.
