Victoria Stillwell
Having seen what a ratings success Supernanny could make of recalcitrant children the hunt was on for a variation on the theme, step forward Victoria
Stillwell, a former actress turned dog trainer who brings us Its Me or the Dog. Basically its a Training Dogs the Woodhouse Way for the noughties albeit
with Stillwell being a bit more glamorous than dear old Barbara Woodhouse.
Dogs: they should be man's best friend, but instead it seems the UK is overrun by canine humping, biting, barking, crapping and stealing. When they're
not hounding their owners, destroying relationships and creating havoc in their own homes they're out on the street terrorising the rest of us. And it's got
to stop. Victoria is convinced there is not a single dog she cannot bring to heel, and she also reckons she only needs one minute to make a start.

More often than not, Stilwell finds that she is called in to help out dogs who have developed behavioural problems. As with children, the theory goes
that there are no intrinsically badly behaved dogs, just bad environments. Her initial job is to figure out what might be upsetting the dog and then
implementing the changes that will bring about a happier and more settled job.
Entertaining and if your a dog owner, full of practical tips, It's Me or the Dog is well worth having a look at.
