Burnside takes over as head of a
new police unit, part of the
National Crime Squad. Burnside
was equipped with two new
partners the black and
homosexual Dave Summers and the
attractive action girl Sam
Phillips (whom Burnside had a
frisson of sexual chemistry
with). Each story was carried
over two episodes.
