Monarch of the Glen 

Drama series. Archie MacDonald, carving out a life for himself as a restaurateur in  London, finds himself called back to his home in the Scottish Highlands to assume his role as The Laird of Glenbogle and get the 40,000 acre estate back on its feet.

Archie MacDonald working in London as restaurateur is forced to return home to the Scottish Highlands after his father The Laird of Glenbogle is injured in an accident, finding out about the huge debts the estate has incurred Archie finds himself reluctantly agreeing to stay in order to try and turn things around.

With a banker on the estate's doorstep threatening to foreclose Archie finds himself at loggerheads with childhood friend Katrina who is heavily involved in protecting the rights of the estates employees and residents.

Justine, Archie's girlfriend and co-owner of the restaurant, arrives to find out what Archie is playing at and Molly, Archie's Mum, appears to have got herself a secret admirer.

It's time for the annual boat race with a rival estate and Archie as Laird is expected to compete against his rival Laird Kilwillie. Katrina makes up her  mind to take part in the forthcoming local elections.

Katrina is busy fighting her corner as election day looms whilst Archie takes Lexie to London with him whilst he handles some important restaurant business - Justine, Archie's long distance girlfriend is none too pleased.

Following their falling out in London Justine arrives in Glenbogle for a final showdown. The bank come calling and Achie has to contemplate selling his share in the restaurant to cover the debt.

Justine is now ensconced in Glenbogle and Archie is still having to keep the wolves from the door of the estate, he was more trouble when it looks like his saviour at the bank, Lancelot Fleming, is going to get the sack, Archie tries to come up with a plant stop it. Later Archie and Justine realise they have no future.

Archie decides to try and get a grant to help with the estate but to get it it means Hector having to deal with a face from his past, Duncan meanwhile is caught i the middle between Fergal and Golly.
