Comedy drama series. American Shirley Logan moves to London to begin working as a journalist but seems to spend much of the series in Hong Kong. Unusually ATV try the half hour format for one of their comedy action adventure series.

Shirley meets a handsome Russian singer from a Cossack Choir. She suspects that he is trying to defect to the West, but he insists he is only trying to escape from the choir's director so that he can listen to Western music.

Shirley unravels a Japanese "arranged" marriage for a couple who don't love each other. The marriage has been fixed by the couple's parents to unite their rival pearl companies, so Shirley sets out to perform a bit of industrial sabotage. But the best laid plans go awry!
