THE WILDE ALLIANCE

UK /ITV Network ( Yorkshire) / 13x60m-e / 1978 (17 January - 11 April / Tuesdays @ 9.00pm)

Creator/Producer: Ian Mackintosh / Executive Producer: David Cunliffe / Theme Music: Anthony Issac

Crime drama series. Detective novelist Rupert Wilde and his wife Amy can't help getting involved in real life crime. This easy going series was obviously aiming for a thin man Nick and Nora style relationship for the two leads. Besides Rupert and Amy the only other real semi-regulars were Rupert's literary agent Christopher Bailey and slightly strange Mr Bailey who lived in the flat downstairs and turned out to make soft porn films on the side. Rupert drove a great Triumph TR7.
