Black Sails XXVI (Starz 12 Mar 2016, with Jason Cope)

In Black Sails XXVI Flint, Vane and Anne Bonny have given up the cache of pearls, putting a plan into motion to get them back along with Jack Rackham when Rogers begins the process of handing them over to the Spanish (who have also decided Rackham needs to pay for his actions).

Rogers has planned several different routes keeping the real one close to his chest but loose lips sink ships and Flint, Vane and Bonny (along with a few select crewmates) bring down the carriage and men transporting Rackham and the cache. It’s a daring attack, brilliantly realised, Flint, Bonny and Rackham get away but Vane is captured by Rogers and the militia. Flint wants to go and rescue Vane himself but Billy Bones makes it clear that he is the figurehead and cannot be risked or it all falls apart. Billy takes two men to remedy the situation.

With Vane under lock and key Rogers is more concerned about how Eleanor will deal with the situation – he is convinced there is unfinished business between the two of them. Eleanor tells Rogers that she is tied to him now and she loves him. She also tells him the one thing that has been driving her on is the chance to gain revenge on the man who killed her father.

A potential crisis on the Walrus between the crew and the slaves is averted by decisive action from Madi – the crew wanted payback on the chief slave who killed four of them when they were first captured. Silver thinks the ship is hiding just beyond view of the island whilst they wait for the signal from the raiding party but one of Hornigolds men has spotted a glinting sail.
