Daisy Kenyon (TCF 1947, Joan Crawford, Henry Fonda)

Daisy Kenyon is a typical love triangle with a typically strong cast and Preminger’s touch for tension. Joan Crawford has been carrying on a love affair with a married man, Dana Andrews, who has no intention of leaving his wife. She meets Henry Fonda, who has returned home from the war and intends to return to his simple life in Massachusetts. Crawford marries him, leaving her lover behind. When Andrews finally divorces his wife, he arrives at the cottage of the newlyweds to win back his mistress. The two men put the decision to Crawford, who must now choose between the wealthy former lover and the poor WWII veteran who has won her heart.

Actor John Garfield makes an uncredited cameo appearance.
