Fly Into Danger: Take Off (ITV 31 May 1972, with Bernard Kay)
In Take Off 18 year old Chris Lomax arrives at Chilford Green Airfield to start his new job as a trainee aircraft mechanic. His real aim is to become a pilot. He quickly makes friends with Sarah who is secretary at the airfield but is also training to become a pilot.
Sarah arranges for new to the area Chris to stay in the spare lodgings at the airfield, he is somewhat perturbed when someone goes through his things but doesn’t have time to worry about it overly as head pilot Jeff Strong offers to take him up for a flight. Once up in the air the plane develops a fuel blockage leaving Jeff no alternative but to make a forced landing.
Meanwhile Chris’s new boss Ritchie seems to have a few business worries.
