Freddie And Max (ITV 1990, Anne Bancroft, Charlotte Coleman)
Sitcom Freddie and Max saw young Freddie Latham gets a job as personal assistant to fading middle aged American actress Max Chandler and her pet poodle Ralphie.
Max was staying at Savoy and working on her biography as well as appearing in the West End. In best chalk and cheese style Freddie and Max were complete opposites.
Despite Anne Bancroft in the lead role and strong scripts from Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais the series came and went without too many people noticing.
