One of the most heartbreaking moments you’ll ever see on television is at the heart of tonights episode of Inside The Human Body which deals with the beginning of life and the end of life and follows the final few weeks in the life of 84 year old Gerald including the moment he passed away. A supremely brave moment for both Gerald and his family.
The episode is not all about death though and also looks at the way people are able to adapt to living in sometimes extreme ways from a woman who has lived for a decade eating nothing but potato chips to a man who can hold his breath for almost ten minutes.
