In period drama serial Sara Dane, Juliet Jordan portrays a convict lass who arrives in Sydney in 1792 and slowly fights her way up the social ladder. Sara’s succession of husbands and lovers included Andrew Maclay (Harold Hopkins), Louis de Bourget (Sean Scully), Richard Barwell (Barry Quinn) and Jeremy Hogan (Brenton Whittle).
Adapted from one of Catherine Gaskin’s early novels, “Sara Dane” cost $1.5 million and was made by the South Australian Film Corporation.
