State of Georgia (ABC Family 2011, Raven-Symoné, Majandra Delfino)
Sitcom State of Georgia proved that the irrepressible Raven-Symoné was still a major draw, she plays the uber confident Georgia Chamberlain who moves to New York City to fulfil her bid to become an actress. To make ends meet though Georgia is more than happy to take on dodgy part time jobs, luckily her Aunt Honey is letting Georgia and her best friend Jo (a science major) stay with her in nicely appointed apartment. Honey is supposed to keep Georgia and Jo on the straight and narrow but prefers instead to to dispense words of wisdom about love and life whilst at the same time criticising her many ex-husbands.
Let’s be honest State of Georgia is not breaking any new ground but fans of Raven-Symoné will definitely find much to enjoy here. There is a nice dynamic between Georgia and Jo too which adds to the proceedings.
