Series: Thriller / Season 1 Episode 3
“empty, just a shell, no more substance than a spiders web”
Someone at the Top of the Stairs, is the very scary third episode of Thriller, in which two young American female students, Gillian and Chrissie move into a strange bedsit where the fellow residents are all very nice but it soon becomes clear something strange is going on. Underwear is going missing and Gillian begins sleepwalking, heading towards the room at the very top of the house whose resident is the never seen Mr C. Chrissie becomes convinced that bad doings are afoot and begs Gillian to move out not knowing that a weekend away is putting Gillian’s life in grave danger.
More fabulousness, the first episode to really head off into possible supernatural territory although until the last moments you are never 100 percent certain of what is going on and as always Clemens has that ability to twist the storyline into new directions that you don’t expect .
The very last lines are a treat and turn things on their head once again. Watch out too for a very dodgy moment when Donna Mills supposedly bumps her head but clearly gets nowhere near the arched ceiling that knocks her out.
