Wallander returns for three more feature length mysteries with the wide open spaces of Sweden providing the backdrop for high quality TV indeed. Newly knighted Sir Kenneth Branagh plays world weary police inspector Kurt Wallander (Wallander’s creator Henning Mankell has been fulsome in his praise for Branagh’s performance).

In An Event In Autumn Wallander is moving ahead in the relationship stakes and is moving in with his girlfriend Vanja – of course things are soon going awry with the discovery of a skeleton buried in the garden and it may not have been there as long as first anticipated.
