In the mid 1970’s Ron Burgundy (Farrell) is San Diego’s top news
anchor, but he and his three co-workers sports reporter Champ Kind
(David Koechner), investigative reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and
weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) find their male chauvinistic
world shaken up by the arrival of --- a woman, determined reporter
Veronica Corningstone (Applegate) is determined to become San Diego’s
first anchorwoman.
