Orange Is The New Black: Fool Me Once (Netflix 11 July 2013)

In Fool Me Once the “Mendez” plan pays off when Caputo catches Mendez and Daya in the act. Mendez isn’t sacked though but sent on unpaid leave however the fallout is harsh; Mendez thinks Daya really does love him and tells Bennett about Red’s smuggling racket – Bennett then tells Caputo.

Meanwhile Tastee finds herself back inside after failing to adjust to life outside; Claudette’s appeal fails and she takes it badly; Alex and Piper have to adjust to the fact that Piper now knows Alex gave her name to the feds.

Larry is spending a few days with Piper’s brother Cal (who lives in a camper van in the middle of a forest) to try and come to terms with how he feels about Piper. Pennsatucky is persuaded by her christian lawyer to witness to Piper who agrees to pray but is not ready to be baptised!

Flashbacks focus on Pennsatucky who we learn is in for killing a nurse at an abortion clinic because she disrespected her. Through that we learn that she only developed her religious fervour after a Christian anti-abortion group take on her case.

Pennsatucky is a great character and adds quite a bit of humour whenever she takes centre stage.
