Never quite getting the publicity it deserves Time Team has been quietly appearing on Tuesdays nights on the ABC, running since the mid 1990's, the show makes footage of someone digging a hole in the ground never less than fascinating.
Time Team is a fascinating weekly series that sets out to solve archaeological puzzles and shows the intriguing process of archaeology. Each week the team of highly-skilled, enthusiastic archaeologists visit sites where they uncover the mysteries of the region’s archaeology and history.
Led by the effervescent Tony Robinson, well-known for his roles in many popular British television series including Blackadder, the Time Team includes archaeologists Professor Mick Aston, Phil Harding and Carenza Lewis.
