Former Doctor Who David Tennant plays family man photographer Dave who has his world torn apart when his wife dies unexpectedly. A grief stricken Dave has to come to terms not only with the loss of his partner but also the fact that he is now a single father to three kids, one of whom is his teenage step-daughter.

As Dave tries to gets his life back on an even keel, he discovers some things about Rita that he would rather have stayed hidden and it is only thanks to the support of Rita’s best friend Sarah (Suranne Jones from Scott and Bailey) that he is able to make any headway.

This is powerful and affecting stuff that stays with long after the watching. The DVD also includes a making of featurette.
