With the US remake bringing the wonderous that is Wilfred to a whole new audience now is the perfect to catch up with the original Australian version of the series which this month gets a rather nice box set release from Madman and in honour of the occasion we have three copies of the four disc set to give away!

Incredibly clever and superbly funny this complete series tells stories of the dysfunctional love triangle between a girl, a boy and a bong smoking dog who thinks he’s human (a truly brilliant performance from series co-creator Jason Gann).

The series begins when Adam meets Sarah at a Powderfinger concert. His joy at meeting her is quickly turned on its head when he meets Wilfred – Sarah’s cantankerous canine who is determined to make him feel as uncomfortable as possible. This might be cute and everything on the first night. But when Adam and Sarah start a serious, live-in relationship, Wilfred turns up the torment meter in his quest to drive Adam out of the house. Eventually, Adam is forced to question his sanity after spending whole weeks embroiled in an ongoing psychological war with a nine-year-old dog who thinks he’s five!
