Public Eye: The Man Who Said Sorry (ITV 13 Dec 1972, with Paul Rogers)
Something of an out of character episode is The Man Who Said Sorry as Frank is visited by middle-aged Barrett who blames Marker for the position he is in – divorced and without access to his kids. He is planning suicide but wants Frank to feel guilty first!
Marker is having none of it and makes it plain to Barrett just whose fault it is that he is in the position he is in.
45 of the 50 minutes take place in Frank’s office before Barrett heads to the station to throw himself under a train and Frank (not knowing this) heads to the pub.
The episode is almost totally a two hander between Frank and Barrett until Percy turns up at the pub.
