For most movie lovers in their 20’s and 30’s it doesn’t get much bigger than ‘Ghostbusters.’ A perfect 80’s Hollywood popcorn flick, it blended quick fire screwball comedy, supernatural action and (for the time) state of the art FX. A tightly coiled script and memorable characters lent the movie a longevity that has not waned at all in the years since. The superb cast of Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis et al quickly became mega stars and the franchise went on to become global gold-dust. Very fondly remembered mid 1970's sitcom The Cuckoo Waltz gets a welcome DVD release this month. Starring likeable David Roper, a sexy Diane Keen and a pre-professionals Lewis Collins, the series follows the trials and tribulations of newlyweds Chris and Fliss Hawthorne who are living the suburban life with their twin babies and a huge mortgage. Their happy little household is turned upside down though when newspaper reporter Chris lets his best mate Gavin move into the spare room.
