JONATHAN CREEK The Eye of Tiresias
Season Three Episode Two | Broadcast on BBC One 4 December 1999
Writer: David Renwick / Costumes: James Baylan / Production Design: John Asbridge / Director: Keith Washington
It looks like 73 year old widow Audrey Panguitch may have started experiencing visions of the future, predicting the murder of wealthy industrialist Andre Masson. Her neice Heidi tells the story to Jonathan who soon realises that the key to the whole thing is a tin of goldfish food.
Quite a fun episode especially when Jonathan inadvertantly agrees to let a film company use his windmill for shooting. There is a great nod to Monty Python's Life of Brian when Jonathan is woken by the arrival of the film crew. There is quite a different dynamic here between Jonathan and Maddy as Maddy is playing the field with two different men.
Interestingly there is a role for Paul Blackthorne in this, he of course went on to play a Jonathan Creek style role in the short lived series The Dresden Files. More great casting too in the shape of Peter Blake and the excellent Terence Hardiman.
