program that was popular with millions of children in Latin and South
America. The program featured games, songs, and educational film
shorts. Xuxa's message to her younger viewers was "Be

Her real name is Maria da Graca Meneghel. Xuxa (Pronounced SHOO-sha)
is her childhood nickname.
