Time Life / Region 4 / Released December 2009 in a mammoth 20 disc setBritain's favourite actor David Jason, decided on a change of pace for his follow up to Only Fools and Horses, equally popular A Touch of Frost has its first five seasons realed this month by Time Life in a huge twenty disc box set.
Jason plays bacon sandwich munching Detective Inspector William Edward "Jack" Frost who solves murder on the streets of Denton (a big town a bit like Manchester); Disorganised and Columbo like Frost doesn't get on with his superiors (especially Superintendant Mullett) and definitely likes to do things his way. At the start of the series Jack is caring for his terminally ill wife but he is soon a widow although he has always been married to the job!
This brilliant 20 disc collection features all twenty feature length episodes from the first five series and notches up an impressive roster of guest stars that includes the likes of Colin Buchanan, Jeff Rawle, Neil Stuke, Isla Blair (as a love interest for Jack!), Neil Dudgeon, Joe Duttine, Nathanial Parker, Sean Pertwee, Susannah Harker and Gwyeth Strong.
