BBC COMEDY EXTRAVAGANZA DVD GIVEAWAY

Released by BBC DVD / Released 6 March 2009

BBC DVD are pulling out all the stops this month with a bumper line up of classic British comedy and to celebrate we have two awesome collections featuring nine dvds in each to give away.

The two prize packs include Allo Allo Series 9; Are You Being Served Series 10; Grace and Favour Series 1-2; In Sickness and In Health Series 1; Morecambe and Wise Series 4; Rag Trade Series 2; Steptoe and Son Series 8; Two Ronnies Series 3 and Waiting for God Series 3. Classics all!

Season ten of Are You Being Served was the last season of the show to be made and whilst the team from Grace Bros bid adieu they returned a few years later in the sequal Grace and Favour which has both its seasons released in a two disc set, here the gang are running their own bed and breakfast establishment. The fourth series of Morecambe and Wise is from 1970 and features such guest stars as Eric Porter, Kenneth McKellar, Dusty Springfield, Michael Redgrave and Robin Day. The Rag Trade and its second season is a gem from the early sixties set in the factory world of Fenner Fashions and starring legends Miriam Karlin and Reg Varney. Meanwhile the 8th season of Steptoe and Son would also prove to its last, luckily it is also one of it's best. Over in occupied France and the ninth season of Allo Allo the end of the war is finally in season but can it come soon enough for put upon cafe owner Rene Artois.

Next up is the first season of In Sickness and In Health, the spin off from Til Death Us Do Part featuring Alf Garnett approaching OAP status. The third series of Waiting for God follows further adventures of Tom and Diana as they cope with life in an old people's home. Lastly but by no means leastly we have the third series of the classic Two Ronnies featuring messers Corbett and Barker at their very best.

Quite frankly this a great new set of releases and is not to be missed. Our competition runs until 12 April 2009 and to win all you have to do is tell us what year the first episode of Steptoe and Son aired in the UK and we do mean the Comedy Playhouse episode that introduced the show!
