By the Sword Divided was a high quality and very well remembered BBC series from the early 1980's. The complete second and final season has just been released on DVD in a four disc set and we have three copies to give away!

Set during the time of the cavaliers and the roundheads and starring the likes of Sharon Maugham, Tim Bentinck, Gareth Thomas, Malcolm Stoddard and Rob Edwards, this second season follows the wealthy Lacey family as they cope not only with the death of patriarch Sir Martin but also the machinations behind Cromwell's take over of the country.

Full of intrigue and drama and with a wonderful sense of period, it's easy to see why By The Sword Divided has remained amongst the most well remembered of the BBC's historical output, despite not being seen for many years. Definitely a must see for any fans of quality drama.
