CHRIS LILLEY'S ANGRY BOYS
He's Australia's brightest comedic talent and like they did with Ricky Gervais America's top flight HBO channel have teamed up with Lilley (and the ABC) to bring us his new, much anticipated, series Angry Boys!Pre-production on the 12 episode series begins on 5 October and like his previous classics We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High Angry Boys will make use of the faux documentary style that Lilley has made his own. Lilley says he has been germinating the series for quite some time now and is relishing the chance of working on a longer run of episodes. Angry Boys will examine just what it means to be male in our hectic 21st Century Universe.
We Can Be Heroes made a big impact in Australia but it was with Summer Heights High that Lilley made a worldwide name for himself with the show appearing to much acclaim in the UK and on HBO in the states and the DVD release of the series has managed to become the highest selling Australian comedy title ever. The show itself also notched up a whole rack of awards from Logies to AFI's.
Definitely something to look forward to!!!
