LINKSDOUBT - WITH MERYL STREEP AND PHILLIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN
Released on both DVD and Blu-Ray on 10 June by Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Doubt, starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep is one of the best films you'll see all year. Set in the 1960's in the Bronx at a Catholic school where principal Sister Aloysius Beauvier (the always superb Streep) rules with a rod of iron. It's also a time when change is in the air and the arrival of the school's first black student Donald Miller (Joseph Foster) stirs up a veritable hornet's nest. Phillip Seymour Hoffman plays Father Flynn, a somewhat progressive priest who is set on bringing some new ideas into play.
Sister Beauvier cannot face the thought of change and convinced that Father Flynn is paying too much attention to the newcomer, decides to make it personal and starts a campaign to get rid of the father from the school.
Check out the exclusive clip below which is from one of the extras on the DVD taking a look at the real Sisters of Mercy charity which features in the movie. Clicking on the picture will open a media player clip.
Doubt has racked up a whole raft of awards and nominations and is a must see movie.
