The king of comedy, director, producer and screenwriter Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin),
presents his third film, behind the camera, Funny People, available to own and rent on DVD and Blu-ray from 7th
January 2010.
In classic Apatow style, Funny People brings to life a hilarious on-screen bromance between Hollywood
heavyweights Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen in a story about a famous comedian who has a near-death experience.
After successful comedian George Simmons (Sandler) learns that he has an incurable blood disorder, and is given
less than a year to live, he takes struggling stand-up comedian Ira Wright (Rogen) under his wing. A true friendship is
unexpectedly forged when Ira is adopted as George’s opening act and semi-personal assistant.
As George guides Ira on how to win the crowd, Ira helps George find closure in his legacy. However, when George
learns that his disease has gone into remission and an old flame comes back into his life, his recent near death
experience becomes a reminder to focus on what is really important to him in life.
Comedy one-liners mixed with a hint of seriousness takes Apatow’s latest offering to a new level that promises to be
twice as funny as his previous hits. Funny People also boasts guest appearances by Eminem, Ray Romano and
Sarah Silverman to name a few.
Starring Adam Sandler, Eric Bana and newcomer Aubrey Plaza as well as reuniting Judd Apatow with Seth Rogen,
Leslie Mann and Jonah Hill in their third comedy together, Funny People is a not-to-be-missed addition to any Judd
Apatow and comedy home entertainment collection.

Not only that but the single dvd edition includes an audio commentary and a gag reel whilst the two disc special edition also features a whole host of documentary featurette, vintage stand up moments from the cast, deleted, extended and alternate scenes and more whilst the Blu-Ray has a mammoth 11 hours worth of extra material.
