Released on DVD by Warner, I Want A Dog For Christmas (made in 2003) focuses on the very cute ReRun, younger brother of Linus and Lucy who is desperate to get himself a dog.
ReRun is convinced that the time is right for him to get a dog but the rest of the family are not so sure and even Charlie Brown is not prepared to give up Snoopy! The ever thoughtful Snoopy though invites his brother Spike over to spend some time with ReRun. Things of course though do not go exactly as planned!
As always Charlie Brown is gorgeous fun, a great big slice of comfort food in these troubled times. This very nice deluxe edition also has the bonus of a complete extra episode in the shape of the 1986 New Year Special Happy New Year, Charlie Brown in which our hero is struggling to get through his holiday assignment, a book report on War and Peace and instead is spending too much time thinking about the New Year party that the gang are attending.
The dvd also includes a featurette on the Van Pelt family, in particular young ReRun. A must for the Christmas Holidays!
