Starring the fabulous John Nettles as Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby the show is detective drama in the classic mould. Working out of the idyllic setting of the county of Midsomer Barnaby finds himself beset by murder on all sides, surely the villages of Midsomer must have the highest death rate in the world! This two disc contains the first four feature length stories from the season and features prominent guest stars such as Peter Davison, Susannah Harker and Alice Krige.
As always this is superior entertainment and also includes some great extras including an audio featurette with Peter Davison, alternative footage, image galleries and textless title sequences.
