THE BARTONS - NEW FAMILY FOR EMMERDALE

There is a new family headed on over to Emmerdale when The Barton family arrive in July to take up residence at Andy Sugden's former home of Butler's Farm. Jim and Moira Butler (played by Holby Blue's James Thornton and the excellent Natalie J Robb). Jim and Moira have been doing well for themselves and are upsizing their own successful farm business to incorporate Butler's.

The couple, who have three children (Hannah, Holly and Adam), are pretty laid back and likeable but an early run in with the Wyldes promises to make for some interesting dynamics. Andy is also somewhat put out as he had been hoping to take over the reins of Butler's once more himself, Moira feels that they should try and help him out but Jim isn't so sure.

Moira will also find herself at the heart of the action in the village when she begins working behind the bar at the woolpack.

The children are played by Sophie Powles (Holly), Adam Thomas (Adam) and Grace Cassidy (Hannah).

See the Bartons in Emmerdale on ITV1 from July onward.
